I'd take that with a grain of salt. If you are a really dedicated flight instructor and fly hard, you can bill a lot of hours at western. Today was my last day at western and I do not regret any of my time there. I know the top instructors there were billing 140 a MONTH. So I don't see how it would be very hard to get around 1000 hours in a year. Yeah the flying slows down in the winter, but you can definitely make it up in the summer, because the flying is great.
