We have the D5 variant of the engine. The only change is where the accessories are mounted. A quick look at overhaul shops don’t show any variant exclusions.
Mechanics have told me that the differences are enough that there is only one shop willing to work on them anymore. Maybe the information is wrong, but if it's not then there doesn't seem to be any reason for us to be paying a big premium over the operators that have other variants.
