Anecdotally, I have noticed that almost all regional escapees who got hired by majors lived in base. I only know 1 pilot who commuted and got hired by a major.
Is it possible that those who live in base have better attitudes or have more time to jump through the tedious hoops like job fair scams and volunteering?
Has anyone else noticed this? Is it a common trend or just coincidence?
I mean, living in base would make it easier to do all those things but I highly doubt it's a "key". All you're going to get here are statistically meaningless anecdotes.
