The article is clear they are negotiating to see which of their regionals will get the 25. I would place ExpressJet, GoJet and Mesa at the top of the list for getting this business. Republic and SkyWest normally don’t fly United’s aircraft but their own aircraft in United’s colors.
So United is planning on removing owned 175s from Mesa but these might be going to Mesa?
That doesn’t t even make sense in airline speak.
