It seems Mesa is having troubles flying and needed help, with that Mesa contract and culture isn't hard to wonder why. Xjet has been being replaced by 70 flying for some time now. Xjet pilots busy moving out and over to United to care.
That is true about covering flying. But, Xjet has been hemorrhaging pilots per public disclosures.
Mesa did have a problem earlier in the year, but we replaced our Director of Training and we have been gaining pilots month over month since.
Republic and Mesa have been picking up Xjet flying. Funny thing about having to publish numbers in publicly available disclosures. Xjet has lost 28% of its pilots since the beginning of the year. Meanwhile, Mesa has added 129 pilots in IAH over the same period.
