This is not a knock against our ALPA reps, but I don't have a lot of faith that they could stop a Signing Bonus Program.

Just look at all the ALPA Regional Carriers that currently have sign on bonuses. I'm sure ALPA would much rather convert those signing bonuses to contractual hourly compensation instead of something that can be rescinded unilaterally.
