How many here use X plane 11 as a training aid? I find the realism spot on, yeah I've cooked a few engines in the learning process.
Use it only as Rickair7777 said, for IFR training and after you've had enough training with a real CFII so you stay clear of building bad habits. When using it, make sure you follow the same workflow you'd use on a real airplane and I highly recommend Pilot Edge.
