Sure, I agree that other airlines are slowing or curbing hiring at different rates than AS. I guess my point is that all, or most, airlines are experiencing some sort of pullback in hiring and all are citing very similar reasons for why it’s happening. If everyone else was still plowing forward at their previous rates in spite of higher costs/oil/competition and we just announced slowing to 2% growth, that might give me pause. However, because other airlines are feeling similar expense crunches, I feel like it’s just another day on the roller coaster. Since I and it sounds like you as well, are staying on at AS all we can do is put the bar down and ride it. I’m with you being optimistic about the future. If I wasn’t and I truly thought things were going to go titsup, I’d be trying to leave.
