The joint contract was ratified last Tuesday and we got a copy of the new seniority list on friday. Aloha had started their last new hire class of 4 right before the contract vote. Nobody knows anything about how they will be doing hiring after this class except it’s gonna all go through NAC. I can’t imagine there being many ANC guys that want to transfer to HNL and there is an 18 month fence for the 737. I would expect a new hire could get HNL right out of training if there is an opening in HNL. It will be interesting to see how hiring plays out because I would think that applicants for NAC and Aloha usually apply for the respective places because they want to fly at those specific bases. Will a Hawaii pilot apply for a job if they may get ANC based and vice versa? I guess we will find out.
