The lodge is convenient. That’s about all it has going for it. It’s great for recurrent, but not 6 weeks. I’ll give up that convenience for pretty much any of the following:

-Alcohol in my room
-Many different food options
-No cackling FA trainees
-No company cameras in the hotel
-Family allowed in my room
-Family/friends can spend the night
-Stove in my room
-Ability to save money by eating cheap
-Free food/drinks for happy hour
-Not surrounded by JB propaganda

Obviously personal preference, but having the choice to be in the Lodge or a hotel is ideal.
