Default JetBlue

Former USMC helicopter type, with 11 years active duty.... I got to Air Wisconsin with ATP minimums (after an accidental application submission prior to administering an X) and was hired by JetBlue roughly 2 years afterwards. Hours below reflect totals at time of hire at JetBlue (2017).

TT: 3800
PIC: 2000 (1700 RW)
FW: 1050 (virtually zero FW TPIC, Thank
You, T-34)
121 SIC: 800

*Attended Vets in Blue after initial application in Summer, 2016. (600 hours CRJ-200/Part 121). Interviewed 2 months after that. I had one LOR from an internal Captain and old friend.

**This was pre-RTP, so FW hours were accumulated during terminal leave from active duty, and on my own dime.

I continued to drill while at my regional (and still do, getting the best of both worlds while boosting my pilot ego). This helped augment the then $27/hr pay rate ($43/hr year 2) but hurt my overall hours accumulation. Both AWAC and JetBlue had/have been incredibly accommodating to reserve demands. I plan to stay here while continuing to drill (though year two pay makes drilling less desirable) PM with any specific questions. I plan to stay at JetBlue, if that matters...

***The Bus is much easier to fly than the ancient rigs I flew in the USMC. That said, every trip is a humbling experience. Plenty of smart and experienced folks on this rig, especially considering base.

Now is the time for interested rotor folks to make the jump. Best of luck!
