Those who are calling out the people who say “the jet” are Virtue Signaling. They’re basically saying Hey, I’m morally superior to you because I’m humble enough to say “the plane” versus you arrogant types who feel the need to say “the jet”.

Whatever. I guess you folks need something to make you feel like you’re better than the next guy.
