Hope this helps...

And hope its correct
This is accurate...

FedEx is famous for taking FAA, FAR, and AIM language and coming up with their own terms.

A 'Check Airman' is a designation from the FAA and requires a Check Airman Letter. The FAA has the following Check Airman designations:

Check Airman Aircraft
Check Airman Simulator
Check Airman All Checks
Designated Examiner

Our Proficiency Check Airman are Sim, Line Check Airman are Aircraft, and Standards Check Airman are DE's (or APD). (there are a few exceptions, this is the simplified version)

We did have some Check Airman All Checks and we called them 'Super Flex's" and they would typically get a combo line and the scheduling department has been trying to kill that for some time.

*disclaimer* for those that like to argue...not all instructors are PCA's, Not all LCA's are 'Super Flex's' and not all SCA's are APD's/DE. Check6 did a good job describing their duties.
