It goes both ways, too. The person with the ANR as the “low talker” can’t be heard. I now do hot mic if the other pilot does, don’t if he doesn’t. Since getting the ANR though I’ve found that even if both have ANR there are still issues, like one turning off the hot transmit or receive feature randomly throughout the flight. This is a growing CRM issue. As I said earlier,
