On this past AE , 7-10 pilots awarded A350 Capt positions will not be converted....why......RET. Kinda a tuff nut to crack, trying to figure out how many pilots will drop their papers. They probably bid the position hoping for a bypass, not getting it and then pulling the handles. Not a super long track record for CR to gauge actions like that....but they will figure it out. Sorry it cut into your profit sharing. Do you feel the same about grossly over-manned categories where Delta pays pilots to sit at home and hardly turn a wheel?
But if it makes you feel better, blame crew resources, since it seems like you are intent on finding a fall guy.
