Not looking for a fall guy, but I'm a big fan of accountability. Maybe I'm not reading for comprehension, but I don't often hear CR take responsibility for much...and there's often finger-pointing at Network for their flail. Let's not forget, it's all Delta management.

I don't begrudge anyone for working as little as possible, for as much money as possible. And I won't notice the minor reduction of my PS for these guys' windfall. Like many of us I hope I might win the category lottery before retirement and get a few months of super-earnings some day.

My point is simply to remind folks of management's missteps in anticipation of negotiations. They'll soon come to the table demanding efficiency gains and we shouldn't forgot how many of our inefficiencies are brought about by their own business decisions. Remember, it's a great deal easier to properly man a few categories than it is to man almost a dozen.
