Too many pilots think management gives us a second thought on their decisions. They don't choose routes/aircraft or any other aspect of the operation based on how it will help/hurt the pilot group. They are trying to run a business, and make strong profits, while maintaining quality and safety.
Agreed. Delta was about to go insolvent. That’s the big picture. WHY were we about to go insolvent? Monetary obligations of which the DB was a HUGE one. Do you think any creditor would have given us exit financing while still having that burden?

You’re trying to tell me that the company had no thought of terminating the DB when we declared bankruptcy? I’d be floored if, prior to declaring bankruptcy, management didn’t have a plan as to where the cuts were going to come from. The DB being at the top of the list. So I disagree with you. I fully believe bankruptcy was sought to terminate our DB plan as well as many other items like aircraft leases. It was not the sole cause but it was certainly at the top of the list.
