You can't legally be punished for using a sick call assuming you are actually sick.

In fact, the law in most states says that your employer can ask for a sick note if they are complying with your disability or you are calling out sick more than three days in a row, BUT, they must do this equally across the board.

In this case, it is clear that the company doesn't ALWAYS ask for a doctors note when people call off a trip sick, so they can't legally require just a random person to do it, unless of course this became a recurrent or abusive way of getting out of work.

Wrong again. You should really read your contract, because...you know...it covers this.

Bottom line, if you are sick, call in sick. I dont want to catch whatever you have.
