Probably because that's what he wanted to fly?? I don't remember if he said why he put in for the reinstatement. Maybe he figured it would take a while, didn't expect it on the next bid, who knows. But nevertheless - he was awarded the plane, didn't get to training, then got displaced so he went to the next best thing in his view. Then when the 350 came back up, he went to it again.
