Wannabe: Your previous post was correct...at your age it's time to get on with it if you're going to. Even with the demand as high as it is, you're taking some risk due to your background issues, but unfortunately the only way to know for sure is to spend the time and money, and apply to the regionals.

As always, I'd recommend a good small school or FBO especially if you can find one locally. If you have to move anyway, ATP would probably OK...they are not as bad as most of the big-name flight schools.
