No, but just about always, a new engine will be sized and even flight tested for higher growth thrust ratings. It's like the GW issue. You want more, all you have to do is pay for it.
Higher thrust perhaps. But done in the existing package. Every engine gets PIP’s during its production run.
A larger engine, meaning fan size, means redesigning the architecture of the engine and the airframe structure to support it. And then getting that certified. A long multi year process.
But again this new gear does NOT change the ground clearance, so a bigger fan isn’t going to happen.
