Propel Advance guys don't need to wait 42 months. They only need 2,000 hours. This is from the Propel website in regards to Advance candidates: "After flying for the Delta Connection carrier for at least 2,000 turbine flight hours (Part 121 only), Propel Advance pilots will have their application automatically reviewed by Delta Pilot Selection. Successful candidates will be given the first available interview date and, if successful, the first available new hire pilot Indoctrination class date."
No need to upgrade for Advance guys.
Upgrade is still EXPECTED. The Advance Pilots haven’t even interviewed for mainline whereas the collegiate students will be doing theirs mostly in college. It’ll be a much longer path and I’d argue more stressful.
2000 hours with reserve time is about 3 years. Pretty close to 42 months.
If you didn’t upgrade you’d have to explain why. Why isn’t that clear to you?
