Unfortunately, the language is messy as it was written well over a decade ago when every other flight passed back through Denver.
I suggest calling your union rep.
5.p.3.g. Is currently disputed language. It’s really not messy but your correct in saying that it’s based on every other flight passing through den. I would just use caution and understand that if you agree to a flight that departs more than 3 hrs later (verbally without reading the language first) the company will argue they complied with the language. Your other option is to challenge the reassignment (professionally and preferably with a supervisor) then fly and grieve because thier going to say it’s contractually legal. This is all assuming they try and reassign you a flight that departs more than three hrs later and/or don’t notify you within one hr of cancellation or inbound flight (whichever is later). Screenshots of cancellations are helpful.
