These people will NEVER stop. They talk a big game about how they'll stop if this and that happens. But they are hooked on the crackpipe and that's just a way of life for them now.
Some of these guys even wore the orange lanyard last year, but they are all out for themselves. They couldn't care less about the collective good. They don't care about the junior pilots or those on reserve.
Part of that, maybe 50%, is the previous union leadership’s fault. Years of sellout leadership by some. Lack of trust in the integrity and resolve of the union. Kasher.
It has to be rebuilt. Top down. It’s my understanding that our current two MEC chairs are the right kind to have there. In DEC we’ll elect the leadership for our consolidated union. Choose wisely. Run for office. There is a Kamikaze wind blowing through the ranks. Once we get the fortress rebuilt, with trust and integrity, and solid lines of communication re-established we should be able to move forward. It’s the best time in 30 years for a contract negotiation. Once those things are in place, if a pilot wants to be a mercenary, they should know they are no different than BM. Get ready. It’s comin.
