What you deceivingly didn't post is that C5 is paying captain rates for FOs. The reason for that is the real kicker. I wonder how long this will last.
C5's actual FO rates are similar to XJT's current rates.
I apologize if my post was deceptive, it was not my intention. The only thing I'm trying to state is that XJT pilots are, in my estimation, worth at least the pay rates I listed. If not more. The red ink specifically states FO Retention Pay. I thought that wouldn't be deceptive. When 5 to 10% of the C5 pilot group quit in a given month because of the abysmal treatment, garbage pay, and career stagnation they had to do the "captain pay" to keep people on property. If anything, XJT should be getting these rates for the 175 FO's. Why would XJT fly a 50% larger airplane for less? I guess I understand not wanting to lose your job but in this environment, I think XJT is too big to fail and could seriously raise the bar for themselves first and foremost and everyone else after that. Why take less? Would 20 EMB-175's really even make a dent for a pilot group the size of XJT? That's like 150 pilots worth of airplanes? Say UAL starts parking 50 seaters. Effectively they now need less pilots to move more bodies for the same pay?
Vote your conscience. I just want to encourage all of you guys to really give it some thought and make sure you feel like you shouldn't get more. I'm rooting for all of you. The sooner the price for regional pilots is too high to ignore, the sooner we can all get a seniority number and a paycheck that matches the paint on the airplane.
