There are no CL captains making $300k on 15–18 day schedules, none of the non RL guys working 14-16 for sure, and it’s more like 17-19 days per calendar month if you’re sticking with pbs. If haven’t cleaned the lav you’re either in the office or one of the slobs making everyone else work harder.

Naturally you pulled the “commuted to a regional line” to compare with major airlines which I agree would suck, but in no way is valid comparison. And if you worked for a LCC then you’ve most likely left when you should have stayed.

I bring up money because it’s important. As is the retirement which far surpasses anything a Frac offers. But if you want to talk QOL I know that I don’t have to work 7-8-9 days at time. I don’t have a change band. I stay at very nice hotels. I don’t spend an hour cleaning and stocking planes for every hour I fly. I don’t airline to and from my airplane on day one and day last with a couple of legs squeezed around the travel. I don’t have 16 hour last days. I can keep going if you like, but I think I’ve made my point.

Frankly, you’re indicative of the standard Flex guy who hates the airlines. Because I never met one who left a major to come to the fractionals unless it was post retirement. I can name dozens who left 10-20 year careers at the fracs to fly in the majors. That should tell you something. Even in the lost decade when Frac compensation was competitive with major 121 benefits.

So save the recruiting pitch. Enjoy the Frac lifestyle if it’s for you. But don’t try to compare a major to your days at ASA or wherever. It’s not even close to the same.
Can’t wait to laugh at you when your miraculous airline job takes a crap again. Keep flying your bus routes man, enjoy your big $ too 😂😂
