If it goes like other regionals with new types, there will be an initial cadre of senior pilots that move over. With these specific senior pilots, the FAA will waive the “green on green” limitation and they will fly both seats. It will be captain on captain flying for a couple of months. Then, as these captains gain left seat experience, the rest of pilots start filling in —— both captains and first officers.

I don’t know whether there could be an agreement between SkyWest and ExpressJet to allow the ExpressJet captains gain experience through the SkyWest system or not. I kinda doubt it, but you never know.

Does Xjet know the pace of Ejets coming on board? Faster than 2 per month?

These are exciting times for ExpressJet.
