Nothing against AA at all but all I can think about when I see the question, "American or Fedex?", are the stories right before 9/11.
Numerous people getting hired at Fedex and leaving for AA or some other airline days before. We all know what happened soon after for employees.
In late 1992 I had a plan to get a job at an airline as a baggage handler at UA, Delta or AA so as to one day obtain an interview.
I told one individual, a guy who had been flying freight for 40 years.
He thought about the plan then shook his head, No.
He said, "good plan, don't go to a pax airline but over to the dirty side of the airport, Fedex or UPS."
He said, "pax airlines go up then down, Fedex or UPS slowly go up forever."


It's nice to have choices in life but choose wisely.
