Sorry; this is probably my fault. I don't know why we Airbus drivers rush to run the Taxi Check with deferred items instead of enjoying a nice, relaxing, heads up taxi to something parallel to and well short of a runway, starting the other engine, THEN after delayed start and taxi check with nothing deferred.

Instead of "taxi check" .. "what did Ground tell us to do" "continue" "where's Southwest, why's he get to go in front" "continue" "what Rj?" "deferred" "the winds did what?" "you type" "after delayed start" "checklist complete" :-)

Reduced gate latency, taxi time, fewer errors and you have something to do during that awkward 5 minutes sitting there waiting for other airplanes to depart, when you're not supposed to be talking about (union politics/bids/overnights/everyone else's landings). Must just be me.
