Our former boss used to tell us to slow down all the time. Wonder if the new guy will echo that caution.
My opinion is we should have the taxi checklist tasks completed at the gate (WDR received) on push (set flaps). Do a quick FTL CTRL check, then call taxi. Get both pilots heads up.
