Ok. So the solution would definitely be military. Change course for a minute, what does reserve flying entail? I heard today that it is not all the commitment I heard it was before. You have the ability to ask time off for important things. So of course, this is something I’m much more inclined towards, especially after reading these posts.

IF, big IF, you want to serve, it’s definitely the way to go and you’ll get the best introduction into the career. If you don’t want to serve and just expect a free ride to an airline job, DO NOT DO IT and you will be miserable. Not everybody deploys, but lots get to visit various remote locations. Think C-17 or C-5.
