They assess if you fit into the (mystery) desired personality profile. Be consistent but be honest. If those conflict, I’d rather be honest than consistent, up to a point. You can’t help but try a little to answer according to what they ‘might’ want.
I answered yes to liking scuba diving but no to wanting to be a deep sea diver - too much risk. Same for race car driver, although I like racing. Thought they might infer race car drivers would take too many risks in their Airbus. But to the fellow who answered yes & passed, kudos!
To me the test said they want a leader/manager but not an demanding over-controller, someone who trusts but not too much, optimism over cynicism, a social person but not too extroverted - balanced.
Friend who failed took it in front of TV bouncing questions to wife, learned lesson....
