You will fly nights. It can be minimized and almost eliminated for years at a time. But your entire career will not be all day flying!!!
If you are willing to trade dollars for day flying, you can work that more than not. If you will trade commuting for days off you can work more days. At FDX, it's all a trade-off. Your career will be what you make of it. Find your niche and run with it until you retire or something changes. The big difference between FDX and others is at FDX your schedule is what you want it to be. YOU decide; much more overall flexibility in how you manage your career path. Never want to be a Captain...cool, no one cares. Want to work one 3 day trip per month? As long as someone else wants your trips and your money...cool. Want to live on a boat and fly out of a different city every month? Want to live in Italy and commute to ANC? Want to only fly long transcons? Want to fly only trips with 2 landings? Want to live in MEM and just sit reserve for your career? Want to be a manager and rarely fly? No one cares what your gig is, as long as you do your job professionally. Your paycheck will reflect how much or little you work.
Just a heads up you can drop your entire month at AA as well. There’s also no forced upgrades. Can also live in base and sit reserve. Can also be in the training department/ work in the chief pilots office. Most of the widebody trips only have 2 landings.
Sorry if you knew that but your post reads like you thought those things werent options at pax carriers.
