AM Hub turns, it depends. Some senior people like them and do them often, others hate them. I will do one every now and then if it's convenient, or to fill a gap. Don't like to be in Memphis not getting paid. I'll do one if there's a nice deadhead at the end of it, or if I have one leg to a 60 hr weekend layover. It's not too painful to do a 1+15 leg into Memphis, get a couple of hours of sleep, and then do another short leg, however I would not be interested in doing that all week. And if I have a six day pairing, I don't mind if a few of the legs are at night, it's worth it for a good trip.

On the other hand, day flying can be pretty fatiguing if you have to get up early. If I'm setting the alarm for 3am my body clock time.....and have a tough time going to bed early, sure, call it day flying, but it is painful. Really the best thing is if you can have nice long layovers to recover from your day or night flying. Very little is easy when you start getting old.
