Pirep I got last night from a LCA on the 727 was that 757 guys were NOT going to get passover pay. Again--0300 cockpit talk--consider the source--but the pirep also said several guys were "walking" out to go to training, including JF, an experienced 727 captain that has been on the 757 program a while now.
We want good guys as LCAs. I'm not sure we'll get the best if we don't pay them for the risk.
I havn't talked to JF sense the bid, but all of those guys who went over there as inital cadrey have worked long and hard,and from what I have heard have produced an exceptional training program. None of there names appeared on the bid,because they couldn't afford the pay cut. It will be very hard to hire FLEX/LCAs at narrow body pay.The previous Mang Dir of training stated that his intent was not to pay POP to anyone. Time will tell.
