Costs to do business in NYC area (for airlines) is going to increase.

Costs may get handed down to passengers by increasing ticket prices out of NYC, but overall labor costs over the next 5 yrs for Rampers, agents, various other staffs at JFK/LGA/EWR will increase.

The market will correct itself. NYC is a business cash cow.
