As of now the job description does require a B.S in airport management. The current manager got in via a political channel but does have plenty of experience with airports and business's. I know the position will be open in roughly 7 years because he will be out of the position by then. I have connections in the airport as I have managed the FBO for 3 years and have been a weather observer for 1.
Seeing that this a management position within a county in New York, the more I have under my belt the better.
