The approach needs to be right on the numbers with such a short strip. The brakes are applied immediately with the hope that the antiskid system will function normally otherwise blown tires will result with a possible brake fire!

When in the blocks the brakes need to be released so they can cool. No night landings there. Sufficient ground time is imperative as Hot brakes retracted into a wheel well is not kosher!
