When was the last time you stood reserve?
Sorry, but if you end a reserve period at 1800 on one day, then decide not to confirm an assignment, at 0400 the next day you have had a legal rest period and can be called as early as 0400.
If what you're saying is true, no one would ever confirm an assignment so they wouldn't have to do anything before 1000, which is absurd. That, or they wouldn't confirm so their duty-day would start at midnight and be done early in the day, since they are being called at 0000 hours. Equally absurd.
What you're saying is actually wrong, and was just addressed in a union email. CS is NOT supposed to call you on a duty-day and put you back on a rest period to make you legal again the same day.
Apparently it has been happening with some frequency of late, and the union would like the practice documented.
There is no such thing as "long call" at Envoy, either.
