You are correct...we are all in this together. What your mec can negotiate as well as abx and the rest have a direct bearing on our success, and the other way around. While the pattern bargaining in the pax side has reversed the nice pay and benefits that they gained, the freight side has seen growth and we can expect (rightfully) to share in the largess.

If fdx alpa was on strike, I would not expect to be carrying fdx cans. If IPA goes on strike, I would expect the same. However with CAC, there was nothing the IPA could do to help the pilots. UPS bought route authority only. If airplanes came with the deal, we would have an argument to grow our ranks with CAC pilots. That wasn't the case.

Some people take satisfaction in the misfortune of others. I know better...it's better to be lucky sometimes than good; and but for the grace of God....that it could have been me furloughed, bankrupted, or downsized.
