A lot of people coming from CFI and military backgrounds, for example, have no clue about contracts, TA, unions, etc. I’ve always thought that the union could put together a new hire presentation at each airline discussing the contract and the various issues that new guys may encounter. This would be a better use of dues instead of a steakhouse dinner every month.
