According to a mechanic in FLL switching from the 1000's to the leaps is possible even with the current NEO aircraft we have now but it would probably be a pain in the butt. So really the NEO's issues aren't on airbus its with the engine providers. Though I haven't really heard of any issues on the leap variant?
