Just using your examples.. “last flight gets in after 11pm so your family would be sleeping” well yeah, but you get to wake up with them, take them to school, nap/relax/surf/TCOB maybe even pick them up from school before your 4p report - QOL!

Or “waking up at 4am and not home until 8p when they are already in bed” literally never happens.. not even pt.117 legal. 4am wake ups are not easy, but you are always done by 2p. Senior early starts done at 1130a, nap/surf/homework/dinner with family - QOL!

You compare the most junior II schedule with a super senior 330 schedule - 4 international trips? Yeah thats a nice schedule, but at that point, II you could hold Airport standby or high time bankers hours day trips giving you 15 days off a month easy. Plus, no jet lag, no red eyes, no recovery time.

You should talk about a junior line on the 330 - LAS/LAX redeys -fun! Might even have to give up days to get that line!!

The huge negative with II is it is not a commutable aircraft. If you don’t live on Oahu, your QOL will suffer dramatically.

Let me put it this way the most JR person until this last award on the 330 seniority wise on the July schedule award held a line of 15 days off and all FO positions for 4 HND and 1 NRT. Obviously someone that JR will sometimes get a las/lax red eye but times have changed. You can hold international trips right after IOE if you know how to bid. Yes you will not get 18 days off a month as a new hire but its not far off..

Or one could go interisland and do a bunch of cycles a day to the same 5 airports for a minimum of two years which just sounds amazing. Not to mention the massive pay difference between the fleets.

You do make some valid points. QOL is subjective but the majority lean towards other fleets as reflected in how JR interisland is going.
