I have about 40 days on property, so forgive me if this information is not applicable to Republic. That being said, I was a crew scheduler for a year and a half at a different airline. My advice is to continue to attempt to drop or trade the trip away. I’d also contact your domicile assistant chief pilot and explain the situation. Maybe even email a copy of the obituary or the service pamphlet. It might be a little uncalled for, but at least it’s demonstrating that you’re not being nefarious. Stress that you want to complete the rest of the trip, as well as your last trip with the company. There’s a POSSIBILITY (at least there was at my previous airline, so again, sorry if this isn’t applicable) that the folks in scheduling get a call from your ACP telling them to drop the turn for PTO.
