I wear the DC ONE-X, which, to me, is vastly superior. Similar noise cancelation and considerably more comfortable on my head.
It's almost like different people have different needs.
The Bose are $200 more than the ONE-X, and $250 more than the Zulu 3s.
I've worn all three. The noise cancelation is comparable. The build quality is comparable. So what am I paying $200 more for? The Bose name. And to be clear, I own lots of Bose **** and love it all. It's a great headset without a doubt.
But what makes a headset the best is a very individual thing. The A20s clamp my head in a way the ONE-X doesn't.

I’m sorry you have a weird shaped head. But Bose customer service is worth the price of admission for an A20. I had an issue with my cord, not defective, just normal wear and tear from 5 years of use and Bose replaced my entire headset free of charge.
I understand it’s subjective from what it the so called best. But overall I just feel the A20 is a standard good choice for most pilots. To each their own though.
