Also, how come nobody talks about the EPO? I know it's one network but I've been using the UHC network for 10+ years and I've never gone to a doctor or specialist that doesn't take the insurance. Is there some other kind of pitfall there I'm not seeing?
I have friends with the EPO and we compared my visits and what they would've cost with the EPO. Between the premiums being way higher, and there being a copay, the EPO would've cost me 1,000+ more this year. Coupled with the fact that anytime you go to a facility (hospital, urgent care, etc) they bill out multiple doctors, you're at their whim for using people "in network". I've heard many horror stories of going to an in-network hospital with in network doctors, but sent the Xray or the anesthesiologist isn't in network or what have you. That scares me off the EPO. Besides the cost.

I can't say too much regarding things like surgeries and whatnot, but so far I am very very impressed with the Diamond plan
