And others have said, you can’t drop reserve on relief lines. You’ll have to swap into a trip and drop the trip if it’s green.
Where did you even get this information? Because is nowhere in our contract and only sets people up for anger and disappointment when they don’t “get” what they requested.
Not entirely accurate. This month is a perfect example for me. I requested one block of R days, min 4 days off between pairings, and a specific pairing and was awarded everything I asked for. I am not saying this is the norm, but to say it doesn't happen is ingenuous. Straight from DT, all relief line requests are considered in seniority order. I usually request min R days and specific R periods. So far, I haven't been too unhappy with what I've been awarded. I am hoping for that month where they forget to award me anything on my relief line. It would be nice to have a 30 day paid vacation.
