In the next downturn, when there’s no profits, neither Delta nor United will be getting profit sharing checks, but we will still have a WB fleet that 2X the size of Delta’s. And I’d rather take the bird in the hand vs the 2 in the bush.
This..
Always amazing that there are pilots who say-
"Look at Delta" for only the good stuff, and don't realize that our two airlines operate differently and both have their good and bad.

Sure, we will (probably) always make less than Delta, from a Profit point based on what Sunvox pointed out.

I think more pilots should look at the Contract Comparison that we, Delta and JB put out in the past year and see where we actual exceed some of our counterparts.
Yes, there are areas where we need major improvements (Sick Leave and LTD top my list), but at the end of the day I ask you all this-
If you were at Delta instead of United, what would you be flying, how much credit would you get vs. actual flight hours, how would your QoL be and at the end of the day.. do you think you would be happier their then here.

At the end of the day, I know what I credit every month vs what I actual fly. The only place that I can't put a price on is when I deadhead and get to board early, get a aisle or window in Eco + (and if not.. I get a 50% add on for that leg for sitting middle seat).
I don't believe I would be making the same credit for the same hours flown if at D.
