I care less about QOL than just getting my time and moving on. Also don't mind commuting- I've only been home about 4 weeks since March with my current job.
I got 80+ a month on reserve and close to 100 a month with actively picking up as a lineholder. That being said we’re doing a lot less flying right now after the summer meltdown. Positive reserve coverage most of this month and almost no open time available for next month. Allegedly we’re picking up the pace again in December but who knows. Personally I think XJET getting 25 -200’s in Chicago means that flying isn’t coming back.

Reserve times will vary. CAE is junior so be prepared to waste a good chunk of your paycheck on commuter hotels for awhile. Probably close to a year to get off reserve in Chicago, MKE significantly less and I’d wager some people will never sit reserve in CAE. Same story once you upgrade, although I’d write off ever getting lineholder CA in ORD or IAD.
