Here’s my gloom and doom scenario:
Through no fault of mine we end up in the ditch with a bent airplane.
Owners insurance pays the bill then comes after me being the highest rated pilot in the airplane.
I know what insurance companies can do and I’ve never instructed outside of a flightschool that carried Insurance.

Just looking for suggestions before I go digging.
My CFI made me ensure there wasn't a subrogation clause on the policy before he flew with me in my aircraft. You may look into that clause, he didn't want it for that same reason. He didn't want insurance going after him since he had the most hours and money.
